Gosick 12-13 |
Posted: 16 Apr 2011 10:52 PM PDT Gosick Episode 12 review ” The Voices of Cicadas are Heard on Summer Afternoons ” Gosick Episode 13 review ” He who Is his Own Lawyer has a Fool for a Client ” My thoughts on Episode 12Just as I presumed, this episode turns out to be a filler episode afterall. At first, I thought Kujou was seriously gonna leave Victorique behind and go Mediterranean with Avril – it’d suck if Victorique doesn’t get much screen time in an episode. Fortunately, his inner pedophilism held him back from doing so after seeing a child that kinda (a little little bit) looked like Victorique on the train. Therefore, thanks to Kujou for changing his mind, we then get tons of cute moments of Victorique along the episode. And I have to say, i’m totally in love with Victorique whenever she’s impressed by little things she hardly see before. Like for example, Kujou climbing up the tree this episode. While she was stuck on the tree, her stubbornness made her even more cuter. Other than the overloading cuteness contained on this episode, we do get to peek at Kujou’s past. I’ve to say, I full-heartedly agree with his older brothers and her father that Kujou is just too sissy. And it’s kinda unfair for her mother to take all the blame just because Kujou is being a pussy. Though I have to agree that Kujou is kind hearted in nature, still, he’s just being too whinny. Well, at the very least, he tried his best to act all manly, using “imma imperial soldier’s 3rd son” to cover up his sissy-ness – you really have to give an applause to him for that. Thus, from this episode, I have then concluded one thing – Kujou and Victorique should have just swap genres. However, we wouldn’t get any cute moments from Victorique anymore right? And that won’t be fun at all. But seriously, in my point of view, I think Kujou is more suitable to be a girl, just like what his sister said. And Victorique should just be Victorique – forever adorable. My thoughts on Episode 13After a relaxing and enjoyable episode 12, an interesting mystery then starts off on episode 13 which is about the alchemist, Leviathan. Just as the same as the previous mysteries, i’m not going to give too much hope on the outcome of this arc. But the back story of this masked-alchemist guy was certainly intriguing. And I think he’s kinda cool.
That being said, it made me wonder what exactly happened? I’m pretty sure someone was pulling the strings from behind and trying to make him look like he’s a criminal. However, I do notice that there was gold spilling out from the guy he (presumably)killed. Well, I think there’s not much to think about that as i’m pretty sure that Victorique will somehow explain that in a very logical way. On top of that, another thing that made this episode interesting was none other than Bryan Roscoe’s appearance. However, with him appearing again on this arc and the fact that he somehow knew the guy that was killed – will he play a role on this arc? Well, I for one, certainly hope that he does so.
But then, from his confrontation with Grevil, it looked as if Grevil doesn’t have any idea who he is as it seems like it’s their first time meeting each other from the way talk. Does that also mean Victorique doesn’t know who he is? Is Cordelia the only one who knows Bryan Roscoe? Well, eventually, I do believe we’ll get the answer for that as soon as Bryan Roscoe encounters Victorique. Thus, judging from the previews this time, there’s not much hint whatsoever, therefore, I can’t afford make much judgement as of now. On the bright side, I think that’s a good thing to do if Gosick plans to surprise us next week. Lastly, I have a word for Bryan Roscoe: Please, do take part on this arc’s mysteries! Please make this arc more exciting!

As a matter of fact, this show has certainly surpassed my expectations, not to mention it was suppose to be on my “maybe to watch list”. But after much compliments for this show from my friends, i decided to give it a try. And the result? Fabulous! Throughout the first two episodes, i was constantly reminded by the similarity of Hanasaku Iroha with a certain anime. And yes, I had the same feeling back then when I watched True Tears. However, you can obviously notice from Hanasaku Iroha that the quality P.A works can produce right now have way passed the quality of True Tears back then, both art and storyline. In fact, it was so great that I felt like I was watching an animated drama! In addition, what sets Hanasaku Iroha further apart from True Tears was because it was well-paced and above all, it had a solid start. Unlike True Tears, we were immediately given an idea of what’s this story about. And I have to say, both the story and character developed very well even for only two episodes. As we can see from this episode, i’m pretty sure that Ohana’s mother didn’t actually pay much attention to her as all she ever care about was her work on the laptop. However, from the bright side, this has taught her to be more independent and not to reply on someone – which is a very admirable trait. Speaking of the side characters, while they’re interesting and all, it seemed to me that they’re not being friendly afterall. If i were in Ohana’s shoes, I wouldn’t have been able to take it. Especially her grandmother – I would have rebelled against her. Nevertheless, I do believe that in the end, somehow, her grandmother will definitely acknowledge Ohana as the granddaughter but it will surely take a lot of epic drama to achieve that.
No wonder that perverted author stared at Ohana during episode 1, knew that was abit odd and suspicious! Not that i think too much about something that’s impossible to happen but what’s up with the cliffhanger? Will Ohana survive the wrath of the perverted author?! Hanasaku Iroha 02 Review

Posted: 16 Apr 2011 09:17 AM PDT Personal ImpressionI have been waiting for this which I put high hopes for this anime. Loli with guns, I like the sound of that. Starting the story, the main character, Tooyama Kinji has found himself in a hard time after being chased by the sub machine-guns attached to a Segway(some kind of transportation) and under his sit there is a bomb. This happen during the time when he is cycling to school right after he miss the bus. While busy cycling, a girl fell down from the sky appears in front of Kinji trying to save him. This particular scene is kinda cool. Its rare to see a girl fell from the sky and do the shooting and stuff. She is Kanzaki H. Aria. Aria save Kinji from been blown to pieces by the bomb under his bicycle sit. For this part, nice action has been done by Aria where she change her position upside down in order to save Kinji. I like this scene… The bomb explode and they have been thrown to the other place. Nice spot to land(the gym) and nice position as well. Well, in such postion, Kinji remains calm and fought with his inner instinct and somehow, he made it so far. I find this part is somehow quite amusing because of the flat-chested jokes inserted in this part. Kinji found out her name trough this part as well, where he “accidentally” see her bra, and her name is on her cloth as well. The Butei Killer drones(which I declared it myself) comes back and shoots countless amount of bullets towards them. Somehow, the gym equipment is bullet prove and they are totally safe. Aria fights back by shooting back the enemy but she failed to defeat them. Kinji who resisting the calamity(or should I say pleasure) so far finally defeated by the temptation? Well, he change to the hysteria mode after that. Finally he gives up and lets the hysteria mode taken control of his body. He will be in Hysteria mode due to the pleasure of the opposite sex appealing. He will become a different person and somehow become more stronger than his current state. He is carrying Aria like a princess and he become some cool guy that is perfect in every way. Aria blush after being told by some cool and attractive words that usually will hits the women heart. Watching his face like that is like watching King of the nights from Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?. So cool~ In hysteria mode, the impossible is possible. when the Butei killer drones shoots him, somehow, he can see the bullet movement in slow motion which I think impossible for human being doing that. He even shoot back right after he dodge the bullet destroying all the drones. Even Aria having problems defeating those drones, but he is in a different level… He looks way cooler in his evil smiles >.< KInji is blessed by pretty girls. Somehow, pretty girls will attracted to him. Shirayuki(the girls in the above picture) visiting Kinji early in the morning bring some food and wakes him up somehow gives me the feeling this guy is so lucky. Shiawase ne…(This is probably due to his hysteria mode) But looks like he is somehow, less appreciate it. Maybe because she is his childhood friend? The fan-service is safe from the total body exposure. Somehow it is ok, I think… Aria is the main character of this story. The story will mainly revolve around Aria and Kinji as they help each other to fight Butei killer. Butei Killer is a group of professional trained squad that have more ability than police and they are paid for their service. Overall First of all, the opening and the ending theme song is not to my liking but it is Ok, I guess. The storyline on the first episode follows the light novel(although there are some add-on in it) which I think it is great. The artwork is totally nice and the graphic also not bad and as expected from J.C. Staff. Watching Kinji is like watching Aikawa Ayumu from Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? Same looks but opposite personality. Ayumu is a pervert but not Kinji. But they both is similar in they’re own way. Maybe because of they have the same voice(voiced by Majima Junji)… Watching Aria is like watching Louise from Zero no Tsukaima. Kugimiya Rie voiced these great character. I loved her voice as they say she is the famous Loli queen. I put high hope for this anime after watching a nice opening episode which I think it is very nice. Lets hope this is not a let down anime. Well, I hope you enjoy this series until the end… Hidan No Aria 01 |
