Lucky Star OVA

Hi guys, its been a while. Based on the title, this will be the review for Lucky Star OVA. . This is just one of the added episodes and it is not the same as the anime. So everyone just sit back and enjoy the scene. It consist of 6 different stories that takes 42 minutes. The pattern of the stories is a bit off from the episodic series which makes it more interesting to watch it.

The Characters appeared in this episode are Konata Izumi (main), Tsukasa Hiiragi (main), Kagami Hiiragi (main), Miyuki Takara (main), Cherry(dog), Meito Anisawa, Minami Iwasaki, Yutaka Kobayakawa, Akira Kogami, Nanako Kuroi, Misao Kusakabe, Patricia Martin, Minoru Shiraishi, Hiyori Tamura and others.

For the first story, it is about the dog named Cherry. Cherry watch all of the character for that day. She watch each of the their reaction on how each of them approach them. Cherry likes to bury the food she receive at the house yard. So for most of the scene, we can see Cherry is a little bit dirty because of the dirt after she dug a hole. Minami always concern about her dog. I think this part is a little boring for the viewers because most of the scene is about the dog.

Second story is about Kona-chan, Kagami, Kuroi sensei and Tsukasa playing an online game. This one of my favorite episodes in this OVA. It shows various quality and action. Its also revealed the online gaming experienced and theory. Some jokes have been added to make this episodes a success. Kuroi sensei and Kona-chan seems to be a lot of experience in online gaming. Kagami is easily adapt with the games and I think she’s not a newbie. Tsukasa on the other hand is lack of experience and still new.

The third chapter is about the Kagami‘s dream. This episodes also quite funny. Its about Kona-chan becomes a mage that have magical power. The story is based on the story Cinderella (although is not the same). Kona-chan wants to help Kagami to go to the ball/ dance hall (Is it really a ball). A lot of cosplay have been done in this episodes. This chapter is mainly about Kagami story.

The fourth chapter is about Tsukasa want to surpass Kagami(her twin sister) in volleyball games. Nothing much to say about this episodes. Basically, she tried her hardest to beat her sister and try to stop depending with her sister. Some of the jokes also quite funny and blends perfectly with the situation.

The next one is about 4 of them(Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, Miyuki) lost in the jungle after separated with their team for summer camping trip. Four of them try their best to find their way to the camping ground. Along the way they feels hungry. Kona-chan also tells ghost story along the way and the only one who was scared is Tsukasa. Lastly, they’ve been found by Kuroi sensei via the phones. They got scolded by her and they eat dinner afterwards.

The last chapter for this episode is about Kona-chan and her friends go to the pet shop. Kona-chan interested in Black cat. And then suddenly something happen. They turn into frog?!(what the heck!!!) After the scene, its back to the game world. Tencho becomes the main character has found the Kona-chan, the legendary girl A in the games. Tenchou want to sell things even in the game world.But no response by Kona-chan as usual…

The OVA ends with Lucky Channel human version. Starring by Minoru Shirashi and Akira Kogami. The gags shown are hilarious. Akira‘s dark character has not been shown in this OVA which I look foward to see it. I personally think that the way Lucky Channel shown here is rather unique compare to the series.
