Quite a lot of news on the Atelier series along with a whole ton of Vocaloid news thanks to Anglestagium. What is important to know is the announcement of some Monster Hunter content and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Season 2 and an OVA for a certain harem anime. Hope you enjoy the headlines! ^^;

Anime

Everybody should know this already but the second season for Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? has been announced along with a recent release of the new OVA. Sources 1 2.

In other news, an expectedly extreme ecchi OVA for IS: Infinite Stratos has been announced for release on November the 25th. Being that the release date is considerably far, the OVA will probably be quite packed with higher standards of animation and fanservice!

An anime adaption for the hilariously cute Monster Hunter Airu Mura G has been released on June the 1st. More details here! Related to this, the PSP version is to be released on the 10th of August.

Figure

An extremely cute rendition of Totori from Totori no Atelier, a game with the same background as Meruru no Atelier has been previewed by Mika-tan. Enjoyhere. Mixing her ribbon and magical stick with Black Rock Shooter is quite moe.

Music

“A Turning Point in VOCALOID History”

On June 8th and 11th, two vocaloid events were organised by Yamaha, and a portion of each event was streamed on NicoNama, to bring various pieces of news and updates on the vocaloid software to the public. There were various changes to the editor used to produced vocaloid music, but the most exciting piece of news is probably the reveal of Vocaloid 3 and Megpoid (GUMI) extend! V3 is supposed to bring more realistic vocals, and will be backwards compatible with V2. GUMI’s extend will include: Power, Whipser, Adult and Sweet. For a summary of the event, please follow the the link below.

Kagamination

Yesterday, (June 12th) a 2-disc compilation of 31 songs by the Kagamine twins featuring many famous producers was released. The compilation includes all the Kagamine voice banks (Act 1, 2, and Append), definitely a must have for Kagamine fans! Although I’ve listened to 1 song from the album (so far!), I suggest checking ” The Worst Carnival” with the choppier, more electric sounding Rin Act 1 and a beautifully drawn PV. (Unfortunately for those you can’t read japanese, the lyrics have not been translated yet.) For a translated tracklist, Mylist of songs that have been uploaded so far, and a crossfade of both discs, go here:

Project Diva Arcade’s first anniversary has been reached and a celebration is being held~

Games

A wonderful iPhone App for Meruru no Atelierhas been released. It is done in a similar style to Love Plus and features the amazing art that is to be used in-game, very enjoyable.

Great news for those of you who love to play simulation games. Dream C Club on the Xbox 360 has some really juicy news on the new DLC, where not only will there be the addition of new costumes and songs, however, there will also be the addition of 3 new girls to serve your needs, all of the them unbelievably nicely designed.

Being quite interested in the TCG Weiss Schwarz by Bushiroad, details on the new Bakemonogatari booster is pretty intriguing. Especially these few Nadeko cards that look considerably strong. Can’t wait to get the Bakemonogatari Trial Deck!

As mentioned in the Monster Hunter post, Capcom seems to be trying to expand the game to audiences of lesser willpower to remember stats, etc. In other words, making it fit for everybody in the current gaming market (which does involve mobile gaming) and so an iPhone version of Monster Hunter calledMonster Hunter: Dynamic Hunting has been released, reducing the gameplay to nothing but circular rotation around a monster, popping pots and spamming attacks.

Some E3 news, following up from the previous Newscreen, Final Fantasy XIII-2 now has an approximate release date of this year’s December for Japan and early 2012 for overseas release.

Miscellaneous

Cute attempt to increase the product range for Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai and To Aru Majutsu no Index Season 2, here are some of the2D images for some keychains. We certainly want one!

Ignoring the cards listed, the K-On car at Nakano Broadway looks pretty amazing, seems like this was featured at an event for Aki Toyosaki, the seiyuu for Yui Hirasawa in K-On.

Military Cosplay

Posted: 13 Jun 2011 04:00 AM PDT

Recent photo shoot of Military Cosplay taken by me with comrade Hangmen, Eric and Koby. This location was suggested by Eric. Thanks to Eric’s friend for allowing us passed through the backyard of his house in order to reach that place in a shorter distant, but still, we need to get pass some rough terrain before we finally reach there. Climbed hill with long cutting sharped grass as well as some thorn bushes. Feel like we were really in a mission. Not to mentioned those blood sucking mosquitoes keep bugging us. Anyway, Hangmen was a truly awesome military cosplayer. He’s also a collector of 1/6 scale military action figures. Check out what he got to say in his blog.
